Highlighting the city of Rocklin, California's community recreation programs
THREE YEARS AGO, the Parks & Recreation Department of Rocklin, California, asked me to revamp the design of their biannual guidebooks that list the many classes and recreation opportunities available to Rocklin residents.

They wanted practical but eye-catching designs for both the print and online versions of the books. I've continued to enjoy this project because it offers the creative freedom to do something interesting.
Guidebook spread
An exciting aspect of these guidebooks is the online version's use of motion. Rocklin requested that I use Adobe InDesign's ability to add PowerPoint-like motion graphics to the layouts. For example, here's a link to the online version of the 2023 Spring & Summer guidebook.
