Illustrations

Illustrations drawn for clients and for my own enjoyment

MOST OF MY illustrations are personal projects I created because I enjoy drawing them. Like many graphic designers, I first became interested in art because I could draw.

I found design a more practical profession than illustration (again, like most graphic designers do). In an age of digital cameras, inexpensive stock art, and AI-generated images, most clients prefer to spend their budgets on these less-expensive alternatives.

However, I've occasionally created illustrations as part of my work. While working at the Deseret News and on magazines, I worked with illustrators far better and faster than me, but I still had a chance to draw when the right project appeared.
